The waves of the sea envelop my being and carry me away
To a space where the tears of solitude join the sky of regret
And the passage of time becomes frozen in infinity.
In that space the pain of existence is effaced by the gentle flow of each passing day.
You are the waves, you are the space, you are the sea.
The summer wind flirts with my skirt as I set sail on this lonely path
It makes me laugh all to myself as I remain alone and untouched.
I am surrounded by voices, by beings and glances, by the push and pull of a hectic life,
Yet all I hear is the cries of my heart longing to join the silence of your touch.
You are the voice, you are the touch, you are the wind.
The burning sun closes my eyes to the flickering flame we call life
Making me wonder where each pulse of our hearts and each breath will carry us
I follow that light like a blind woman moving through the tunnel of fate
Seeking to find a glimmer of hope, the illumination of meaning in those dark corridors
And there, I find you. You are the light, you are the hope, you are the sun.
